On July 5th I'll be leading a training for active negotiators in the Lubbock, Texas area. Last year teams from as far away as Amarillo joined us and it went very well; we had about 75 people attend. I'll have counseling and psychology students in attendance again and, after we've reviewed active listening skills, we'll break into groups and practice with the students. Max Howard (FBI retired) will co-facilitate this training, Sgt. Brandon Pierpoint (past TAHN president) will speak, and I'll share some other topics as well. For more information contact me, Dr. Andy Young, at Andy.firstname.lastname@example.org
I was just asked a great question by Houston PD's TL and I thought I'd see what came to mind for you guys:
" What do you think is the single most difficult thing to teach new negotiators and do you see a larger learning curve for the younger negotiators?"
